I’m a grateful first-generation American, the son of parents who fled Cuba during the communist takeover.

I apply less common algorithms to sometimes practical problems. The Go programming language made me love programming again. Looking for opportunities to use Rust and Mathematica’s Wolfram languages.

At Molina Healthcare, I ran a team that used MS DevOps to automate the deploys and some of the development of all of the company’s1200 apps.

At the University of Arizona, I took a 1-on-1 class with Udi Manber on stringology. Udi went on to head search at Yahoo, Amazon, Google, and YouTube. From Robert E. Smith, I learned how to solve optimization problems using genetic algorithms.

At Microsoft Research, I worked on the Icon programming language with David R. Hanson. At Texas Instruments, I built compilers, assemblers, and debuggers for their premier DSP and ARM microcontroller.

A hundred days after 9/11/2001, the Air Force hired me to lead the build of RADAR systems critical to capturing Osama bin Laden.
